Lost 5 in a row heading into the finals, belted the Knights and ruined Andrew John's NRL farewell, came back from a 20-6 Half-time score against the Bulldogs to win 20-37, and went on to beat the favorites in the grand final. This was Wayne Bennette's masterpiece and Darren Lockyer orchestrated it. 🔥🙏🏾💪🏾

No matter how old I get. Darren Lockyer will be my fav player of all time. Just picture perfect football from an absolute legend of the game. Fullback to Five eighth it didnt matter. Goal kicking he had it. Made top 5 missed tackles for a few years but attacking prowess made up for it.

this was the game that cemented Lockyer as the greatest of all time i beleive, the way he came in and dismantled a very strong storm side that had all 4 future immortals was unmatched. and had absolutely no help in the halves. we will never see anyone like him again.

The defence of The Mighty Brisbane Broncos won this Grand Final and I was the happiest man/supporter of this Great team.Up The Bronx and they will build up from 2023 to be the powerhouse club in the NRL again.👍

Andrew Johns will always be my favourite player but Darren Lockyer was so special, a real once in a lifetime player and arguably the best clutch field goal scorer ever, not to mention he played in the broncos most successful era he truely was a legend and that’s coming from a NSW P.S it’s always good to see the storm lose 😄

My Dad and I are both Broncos supporters, and my Dad decided to watch the game with his best friend, and they were going to drink or night, which means I had to watch this game at my Grandparents, and the Broncos have never won a finals game when my Dad and I are in the same place together watching the game, and it's been 16 years, and counting.
