Exploding GE Washer

This was a few weeks ago when my less-than-2-years-old @geappliances washing machine exploded right next to my kids. I bought it from Belchers, now Manny’s appliances in Framingham. They sold me extended warranty through @theamyntagroup who classified this as “physical damages” and therefore not covered.

That was not an explosion. Sounded more like a suspension failure.

This has been happening with whirlpool, hotpoint, indesit, ariston here in the uk and Europe also the hoover/candy group drum fails during spins mainly front loaders.
My old hotpoint served me well and died many years later with no issues bar a new pump but got LG now and it’s great had 0 issues.

Good thing there was the closet door in front of it. That also just shows that top loaders aren't built as good as they used to be.

Why in the world would anyone paint their ceiling black? It looks like a cave. Many years ago, I rented apartments for about 5 years. It seemed like none of them had close to enough windows for enough light during the day and it has made me very conscious about natural light. When my daughter was a teen, she went through a stage where she kept her bedroom as dark as possible all the time. It just drove me nuts, but I let her do it. Now she is the mother of identical twin girls and an executive in a multinational corporation, and her house has plenty of light!

None of these new washing machines are safe because of a deliberate design flaw of the tub suspension and the use of cheap plastic that the outer tub is made of. Get yourself a Speed Queen TR5.
