I legitimately love how you talk. Maybe its that weird inherent hood accent that everyone in michigan seems to get, even while still being hillbillies.
You're just a joy to listen to and your content really helps dummies like me who are still interested in all this craziness.
You're real af with how you present stuff, especially when it comes to your opinions, and I really respect that. Can't say I've ever felt the same of the lawyers I've known before you.

I’ve been listening to the trial live these past weeks but it’s always interesting to hear analysis from a proper lawyer and get varied opinions about the case

Epic started this case with an act of bad faith by intentionally violating a contract. They doubled-down with the ridiculous, cover-their-asses motions to limit the damage, and a completely inappropriate PR campaign. And their litigation team antagonized the judge with facts not in evidence and theatrics.

Like it, or not, that set the tone.

The only chance Epic prevails here is if this judge thinks color television is a "new fangled idea"

The law here, as I understand it, generally requires an overwhelming case of market tilting that CLEARLY harms consumers, in order to warrant government intervention to correct the wrong. This isn't my area, and I'm not a litigator by choice, but this case doesn't look good for an Epic judgment at all from my perspective.

Im convinced 20 years from now when we are in a world of blade runners and net jacking in a cyberpunk type city, the "Roblox Precedent" will be cited as the reason when games were divided into "experiences" and "apps" and "internet holistic virtualities", and when "the world changed". Your Virtual Legality may become a very very real enterprise!

"Did Epic prove it's case?"

Nah. I don't think so, for whatever my non-lawyer opinion is worth.

I think for Roblox the optimal term is “user generated content”. Users (or players, pick your poison) of Roblox then generate content for others within Roblox. Strip it down to basic levels, that’s how Twitter or Facebook work. Compare that to EGS which doesn’t feature “User Generated Content”, which I would say implies a sort of amateur quality, but features professionally developed content by a development studio.

To me the difference between Roblox and EGS is obvious, but I grew up with video games so it’s unreasonable of me to assume people who didn’t grow up with video games would have that sort of innate understanding.
