Finding FLEA MARKET Fishing Treasure! (Fishing Challenge)

n this Fishing Challenge, I take you guys with me to the local FLEA MARKET to see what fishing gear steals we can find within our budget of $5!!! We then take our new gear out to test it in the waters and see if we can catch fish on our FLEA MARKET FINDS! I did not expect for this to happen..

A Mepps and Panther Martin inline for $1 a piece is a good score! You mentioned about casting upstream being preferred. That may be true when drifting dry flies and nymphs. But, its good practice to cast spinners and streamers from perpendicular to the current to 45 degrees downstream. You were fishing those spinners properly. Cast across current and reel in allowing them to swing down and across the current. You cover a lot of water this way and imitate baitfish. My only advice would be to slow your retrieve so that the spinner is ticking off the bottom every now and then. Nice video, Mike!

Good general rule is if you can net it and use it for bait it's not a sportfish

They’re both spinners you can buy in store, but each of them run 4-5 dollars or more. They also happen to be the best two spinners on the market, panther martins being the best.

I live in south Alabama and we have a lot of gators but they normally don't mess with you more worried about moccasins but that's why you carry a sidearm lol good target practice!!
