Russia ended its Victory Day celebrations with a firework show in Moscow on Monday night (May 9), amid soaring tensions with the West.

The Victory Day event marks the anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two and is celebrated annually on May 9.
