I used to have a white socket the same as that one reclaimed from my previous property but it was
cracked and needed updating anyway. After mulling over the possibility of having metal ones I decided it was time
to replace it and a light switch with flat plate stainless steel/black accessories I bought from Homebase.

I tend to use metal sockets either where the sockets are most visible or black insert accessories to
blend in with darker walls. Matt chrome, pewter, stainless steel and polished chrome are my favorite metal finishes.
