I miss this lady so much, she marked my Christian journey with a great passion for Christ in my youth, especially with this song and the other one from Isaiah chapter 53 vs 5.

I have been searching for this song for almost 2 decades. It was given to me on tape when I was but a few days old in the Lord. It helped tremendously to set my feet on the right path and help me focus on relationship and not religion.  Oh. may you be blessed as I continually am...this song is mostly based directly on scripture.

I am happy to get back to hear this soul touching songs by our very dear Sister. I was amazed to read from a comment that for about two decades she has been searching for it. I used to have the audio cassettes of Candi Staton in the early nineties and enjoyed hers songs with my wife. It was in search of her CDs which I could not that my wife broke the news I could get from YouTube. To God be the glory I am enjoying the songs looking toward to getting her CDs so I Cano play in my car while travelling long journeys. I borrowed a cassette from a friend and this song was on it. That's about late 80's early nineties..and I played it every day. I keep trying over the years to know the name of the song but over the years i remember even the vrery phrasesof the music..that's how often I listen to it. Over 30 yrs ago and just now I found it. Every time I listen to this Song by Candi Staton 'The Anionting' a different hunger swells within me for something more and more about what God can do through you when His Spirit is upon you. It really makes a different because, it's better to swim with the current ie the direction where God is going becomes effortless than to swimming against the current and struggle.
