For anyone considering purchasing this particular card, I've owned a Palit RTX 3060ti Dual since it was released. I've had absolutely no issues with my card whatsoever 👍

I think this is the obvious choice for small cases which can't fit the 300mm+ schlongs that most modern GPUs have become. Combined with its efficiency, this should perform pretty well even in tighter spaces without turning your PC into a literal toaster.

I just bought this card today as an upgrade from my dieing 1080 Ti, seems to be around 50% performance increase and costed less than my 1080ti when I bought it.

I think 1440p generally makes more sense for ALL current GPU's (even the RTX 4090) - When running current and undoubtably future AAA titles at MAX settings w/ ray tracing, etc. 1440p will be a better option vs. 4K where's frame rates will be much lower say 60fps vs. 90fps+ and personally I'd choose 1440p / 90fps+ over 4K / 60FPS any day of the week. Ideally in a perfect world you'd have both a 1440p - 240hz monitor and a 4K - 120hz display and depending on the particular game one or the other may be optimal. However, if (1) option is the choice I'd go with 1440P-240hz.

Anyways, regarding the RTX 4070 at $600 USD it's actually not even REMOTELY as bad a deal as many reviewers continue to make it out to be. I think the issue that is upsetting people for the most part is the notion of being considered "mid tier" when years ago $600 USD would be considered "top tier".. Personally I think this is a total non issue as prices simply don't remain static and it's not like we have many decades of prior GPU data to look back upon regardless.

I mean just look at automobiles for example, $30K not that many years ago meant something different than it does currently where's $30K basically gets you into entry level Honda, Mazda, etc.

Great Video, keep it up. ive upgraded from 1070 to this card and price to performance, this card is best. 4070ti is way over priced as well as the 480. ill use this Palit 4070 and might swap it out next year when the 500 series arrives hopefully 500 series will be a game changer like the 300 series was to the 200 series. fingers crossed.

Re power requirements: Despite what PSU-calculators tell me ... from all the reviews I've found so far and their total power-draw results, I'm pretty sure I could get away with running the 4070 and even the 4070Ti on my Seasonic 550 Gold Plus. I've been running a 3070 in that system now for more than half a year and have had zero issues. And I do run VR and quite a lot of USB devices (for flight-sims). I'm currently trying to decide between a 4070 and a 4070 Ti and I'm pretty sure I'll keep the 550W if I go 4070 (its TDP is lower than that of the 3070) and I would probably even risk it with the 550W if I do decide to spend more and go 4070Ti.

I think thermals are still a massively underrated benchmark.
Making less heat means using less power, using less power means more headroom for overclocking, but do keep in mind that there's more to overclocking than just core clocks, don't forget memory speeds too.

Agreed I am running a MSI Trio 4090 at 1440P Raytracing Ultra Settings Native Resolution on a 32Inch 1440p 165hz Monitor. CPU 7600X-- Works perfectly.

I went to BestBuy and they had a 4070 for $550 and the 7800xt for $520. The next step up was a 4070ti for $800 which still has 12gbs of Vram. I went with the 4070 and loving it so far

Everyone's forgetting the power draw for the 4070 is amazing, when compared to the 6800 for example, nvida targeting the 1080ti users

If Nvidia didnt cut the memory bus and made this card 16GB, it would have performed a lot better. The value of this card is only being compared to every other current gen card where the prices out of control. 256 bus/16GB around $499 and this card would have flown off the shelves.

I am on a msi 4070 ventus x3, brilliant performance and very cool and recommend it
