TOPIC: Condition for a line to be a Tangent to a Circle - Lesson 6

In this video, we are going to learn how to determine if a line is a tangent to a circle.

A tangent is a straight line that just touches the circle at a point on the circumference, and this tangent line is perpendicular to the line drawn from the center of the circle to the point of contact, called the radius.

A line is said to be tangent to a circle is and only if the perpendicular distance drawn from the point of tangency to the center of the circle is equal to the radius.
