Today we revisit Core Set 2020 and look at the current value in the set.
I have previously professed my appreciation for Core 2020 as a set that I think is grossly overlooked. I'm back at it again today as the EV (expected value) on these boxes has now surpassed $140 while carry an average box price cost of between $120-$130. Will my love for this set pay off or blow up in my face?

I’ll always have a soft spot for this set because it was the set that got me back into the game after not playing for years. I picked up a box not too long ago just for fun and got among other things a Field of the Dead, the mythic Chandra, and 5 leylines, including two in foil. Such a solid set, I’m glad it’s getting some attention!

Yesterday I bought 3 boxes for around 116 USD each. One is for draft and the other two will just sit on my shelf. Very nice product imo.

The uncommons of this set are so juicy. If not for the temples this and 2021 would've been close to rediculous if there was a decent land cycle.

You've been on that Core2020 train for a while, and now everyone else is catching up...a bit too late! I keep saying and will keep saying I love Core sets, I just think WotC does them wrong. They should be large sets, released every two years to compliment the current Standard rotation, and should be draft sets only. No collector, no set boxes, only draft. And they should be white bordered. 😉
As far as showcasing the set? I think you did pretty well with that one! Geeez, nice box! Not gonna be able to find these for $120 much longer...if at all. And openings like this are why! Very nice!

I opened a box of this a couple months ago and it surprised me how well i did at $200 in value it had a foil veil of summer that really helped and had 3 other decent foil rares
