Megumi refers to the sun as ohisama (お日様) here and this phrase is really only ever used by children (and parents). It’s anthropomorphic in a childish way - just think of it as if Megumi had referred to a hippopotamus as “Mr. Hippo”.

TL;DR: Megumi instinctively uses childish words, and it is unexpectedly adorable.

I've read somewhere at reddit that the girls kind of blushed when they heard Megumi was because he used "mr. Sun" or "ohi-sama", which was unexpectedly childish. It kind of got lost in translation I guess?

I’m not good at Japanese nor am I fluent in it but I think the girls blushed because Megumi said “Ohisama” which is a term only use by children (or parents) and seeing Megumi using it was unexpected

I know people in the comments have already given cultural notes and translations in English but "Ohisama" really reminds me of "太陽伯伯" in Chinese, which means "grandfather sun" which I'm assuming is similar to "Ohisama"
