Here we go again back and forth between the same two parties that have done nothing for us in generations

Only because millions are fed up of the Tories, not because Labour is any good alternative. Make that VERY clear!

Lol turnout was abysmal, I’d say people are giving up on the cor rupt system if anything.

The British people have spoken! The turnout was astonishing - 17%

I refuse to vote for a party that can’t tell me what a woman is…

The Tories deserve this thumping but as someone who lives in Wales - and has thus endured 25 years of Labour governance - I can assure you Labour won't be the answer.

Why has nobody mentioned the turnout? In my area it was 27 per cent.

The funny thing is that nothing will change who ever is in number 10

None of my house hold voted in these elections simply because we didn't get a single leaflet of flyer or even a knock on the door so we knew what anyone was saying they'd do for my area, not a single bit of information came to my house about my local elections, why should I go out and vote when they can't be bothered to explain to me why we should vote, 3 votes down because of lazy canvassing

This is simply because of the common misconception that desire to leave the EU was a right-wing Tory thing. In fact it was stronger amongst traditional working-class Labour voters. They swapped to Conservative (specifically Boris) because they thought he would get the job done. Now that they have seen that the Conservatives are incapable of getting the job done they have switched back to Labour. I don't think their views on Brexit and leaving the EU have changed though - maybe even stronger than ever.

“Part of the Working Man”.

As long as he’s not white, male, english or married.

I will never go through the charade of voting while we have a two party system. I've lost all faith in politics

People are fed up with politics. Period. They’re all liars who say one thing and do the opposite. They all have no interest in people, only their bank balances. Time for a complete change.

I demand a re-count. Rishi said he understands ordinary British people, so something's amiss.

Local elections don’t really mean much if you look at the turn out was very low my area averaged around 23%, obviously the Labour Party mobilised their rabid supporters better than others
