A whole lotta Hoya! Today we talk about my picks for the Top 5 Hoya I recommend growing. Fortunately, they are all easy enough to get your hands on. Thanks for watching!

1) Hoya carnosa "Krimson Princess"
2) Hoya pubicalyx
3) Hoya "Iris Marie"
4) Hoya macrophylla "Albo Marginata"
5) Hoya obovata

Also... I will formally announce at some point but I decided, after many comments, to do away with the idea of a schedule and upload videos as I please. This way it puts less pressure on myself and allows me to upload even more videos for you.

My second grade teacher gave me a Hoya plant to take care of when she found out I love to garden with my grandmother… I am now 39 years old, and still care for the same for your plant. Now, I’m getting ready to make some cuttings into hangers for my SON’S second grade teachers, 32 years later

Nick, for all of us plant lovers you are the only for looks but for your intelligence and your passion.
We really appreciate that you share so much of your knowledge and love of plants.
I am going to keep watching everything that you put out.

Beautiful plants. Yes true about the macrophylla they love love light. I have one and as soon as I placed it under the grow light it started putting out the most beautiful variegated leaves

How convenient is it that I impulsively bought an obovata without knowing much about it then I get on YouTube and this is the first video I see. I kept waiting and waiting thinking awww he’s not gonna talk about it, turns out to be his favorite 🥰 I love it

I found a super old Hoya carnosa crimson princess at a little shop. It's was HUGE & all over the place. Bright pink stems, bright pink leaves. It was 7 years old. Me & my friend split the price then split the plant. It's super beautiful, one of my favorites. 🙂

Hey! I only have 3 Hoya. The first being a large carnosa cutting. I just wanted to say a quick thank-you for teaching me about the "taco test". It's really helped me figure out my carnosa. :)

Thank you for this video. I just found a huge hanging basket of hoya at Walmart and I had no idea what kind it was. Super excited to have a krimson princess.

Nick, please send all your tips on the Iris Marie!! I have had one for months and have been struggling, I think I over-watered... I've been waiting forever for someone with more experience to get one so I can follow along. 😂 As another note, you definitely need to visit Logees if you're ever in CT. Even living in CT it's kind of a hike to visit, but it's a magical experience that's well worth the drive!

When I started growing a few years ago I told myself “ I won’t like Hoyas” so last week I caught the Hoya bug.

Thanks for tips, Nick. My marginata and I got off to a rocky start, but I think I’m getting it finally. I have four of your recommendations and I’m always eyeing more!

Question: can you do a winter care video? Particularly for the plants you have near windows. I get a LOT of questions on my IG & since I’m not a plant “guru” in the least, I would love to have an east coast guru video to refer people to.
