Thanks for showing the flower progression! That was extremely helpful for knowing when to harvest them.

I planted seeds in Spring and it turns out the plant absolutely LOVES a hot corner of my garden in Southern California where nothing else wanted to grow. Have a harvest ready to pick and enjoy this week. Thanks for the how-to!

Hi, I came across this video and watched it twice without realizing, I infact used these seed and they are sold at my local store, thank you so much for providing these seeds! I wanted to buy so many this year but chose the tea and native beans. I can’t wait for next year to get more. I’m so happy after 6 years you are still working hard as a business. Stay blessed!!

You can eat those fresh seed pods or the whole calyx. They’re delicious, crispy, juicy and brightly flavored; contains a significant amount of vitamin C too

Wow thanks! We had bought the hibiscus tea seeds and they grew beautifully but I wasn't quite sure how to use it. Perfect teaching video and great "extra" help!

Hi Lindsay, good job w the video, as always :) I just yesterday purchased more of Renee's seed pkgs from our lovely local nursery. One of the pkgs was the Zinger Nasturtium

I have a hibiscus tree and was wondering how to do this except when my flowers die this is not what’s left behind. It’s more of a hollow shell. Do you know how I would harvest from this type of an hibiscus tree? It has a braided trunk. I don’t know if that matters.

Do you save the calyx seed for growing the plant? How big does the plant get? I would like to grow that. So pretty 😍

It was told to dry the hibiscus in the sun - I remember from my childhood, that my grandma told never to dry any herbs in direct sun, because then herbs loose vitamins.

I am growing this plant currently and my calyxes are not deep red. They are streaked with white. Any reason why this may be? Original seeds planted are from Renee’s Garden.

Ok first time grower it got huge and made lots of the big red things.. Didn't know what to harvest anyway it has gotten into the 30s at night so the leaves fried guess I need to go cut it down and harvest. Will the seeds save to plant next season?

Can I use my large dinner size hibiscus for this same drying process? This looks very delicious and simple to do. My hibiscus are white and pink and huge! Happy Tea Time! ☕️ 😁

But you can use the flowers too, seems wasteful to me to not use both. Wouldn’t they be more flavorful? I’m new but I’m hoping to use more of the plant. Some even use the leaves too.

can you save the green seed pod inside and let it dry out to save the seeds? or do you need to let the entire pod dry out on the plant for seeds?

My calyxes are white and red are they still good? Also I left them thinking they would turn red, they didn’t and know the seed is inside is brown. Can I still use them?
