"Little Donkey" was written by Eric Boswell, published in 1959. It became a hit for Nina and Frederik in 1960.

I remember singing this about 45 years ago when i was at infant school here the UK i was about 3 or 4 and i remember making the sound of the hooves with two pieces of coconut. My husband who is older than me has never heard of it and i still remember some of the lyrics thanks for the post.
