3 MONTH SURF PROGRESSION | Adv Beginner To Intermediate Female

Surfing progression tends to happen in stages. You improve your surfing in bursts followed by plateaus which is typical of an extreme sport without a repetitive playing environment.

In this video we track one of my coaching clients 3 month's progress from advanced beginner to intermediate. I'm super pumped with her progress!

I've been quite frustrated with myself recently as I've hit a big plateau in my surfing ability. And it’s the first time I hear that surf progression is usually slow!!! Cause I feel exactly the same, like I’m improving and then I suddenly feel like a beginner again. All of a sudden I can do turns on one day and on the other I can’t even pop up 😒😂 and I always thought that it was just me and that everybody else was already a pro😂

I find the plateau situation true for me. I improved then plateau lose some confidence then improve again. It’s a never ending cycle.

I always thought that debutant couldn’t surf shortboards until they became at least intermediate but this girl did an amazing job ! Her progression is so motivating I planned to start surfing next summer I hope I will be able to do as good as her she’s really inspiring ! Thank you for this video !

She is awesome. She is really trying hard and despite nose diving she just keeps at it. I am at the same level right now, just able to pick up on unbroken waves but still diving and it is definitely commitment to keep getting tossed like thst
