Apologies for just jumping in the thread. It has been a busy 2 days since the project launched.

1. Thank you so much for your support. The more interest this generates the easier funding and manufacturing partners are secured.
2. Energy Generation: This configuration consists of 25 vertical turbines each powering a 400w generator totaling 10, 000w. Just been contacted by a manufacturer who has developed a similar size generator at 10x that power. If true, one wall could power half a dozen homes. Let's see
3. Noise: The blades are very lightweight and should produce no more noise than a gentle whirling. The generators are small and almost silent.
4. Safety: Again, the blades are very lightweight and only pushed by the wind. The alternating layout allows no pinch-points but a child could easily stop them from turning without injury.
5. Wind Direction: The turbine shafts catch the wind in any direction (except for straight down which doesn't happen often in nature)
6. A battery is not necessary as this unit could be directly plugged into the grid.
7. We are looking to make this a very affordable energy source. I have no final pricing as of yet as we are still interviewing potential partners to bring this to make. I will update here as the project progresses. We have a lot of interest from credible partners, so I'm excited to move this along as quickly as feasible.

Cheers,
Joe

Power output please. Otherwise this is an art installation being promoted (posing) as a power solution.

Hey Joe Doucet, instead of on the side of highways. You could put it in the middle like on interstate 695 around Baltimore. So the traffic on both sides of the highway would make it spin. Highways could even be designed so truckers would use the inside lanes near it. Heck even truck manufacturers or even car manufacturers could start to design vehicles so it pushes wind that way. I had a similar idea like this over a decade ago. To power the inner cities with the beltway that surrounds them.

Also if you make them like six or eight feet high. It would make a nice fence. The side of my house gets windy a lot.

Well done! Functional, beautiful and I hope economically feasible!

Looks great - it's like an elegantly modern version of the windpower in Miyazaki's <<Nausicaa>>!

Beautiful. I think we need to merge more art and alternative energy projects. This is a great idea. I want this. Please keep us informed.

When power generation becomes mesmerizing

A wind turbine against a wall will not be able to extract much energy from the wind, which I assume is why no power information has been provided. This is an art piece.

I like the idea, but I'm skeptical that this device has enough torque to turn even one 400w generator fast enough to generate electricity, much less 25 of them. Please share more about the gearbox and power production.

Looks like Robert Murray-Smith (YouTube) will answer a few questions by building the first physical test version of your wall. Interesting to see what he discovers. 😀

I would definitely add this to large parts of my house, brilliant design. When to market?

A great idea! Perhaps even replacing the inlet and outlet vents on skyscrapers that are often huge might just offset some of the power usage.

Wow! Fascinating and a work of art! Bravo!

Very beautiful, but as an engineer I can tell you this will not be nearly efficient enough to be of practical use, so it's literally just an art project. Its primary purpose is to generate clout for the designer, not power.

I love this. It's kinetic, attractive and creates power from a totally overlooked source. Really hope that the world connects with you on this. Revolutionary!

Brilliant. Love it. Plus, they could be used as kinetic art/advertising on roadsides.

This is brilliant. When can we expect full production? And how can I invest?

I can see this working somewhere in the future. Although along the highways it may not work as well being small, you may want to consider slightly larger panels along the road ways, for those semi trucks going by could crate an issue on small panels not going in the direction to produce. Unless it doesn’t matter which direction it turns & still creates power. Just a thought, as an inventor/ artist myself. Love the concept.

Thanks so much for your comments and support. I've added a new video of our latest efforts to bring this project from concept to a viable product. Here is a link.
