Very helpful video thanks for the info. I appreciate the replaceable wheel skin, for a downhill or freeride skater the wheel can be much smaller after a day of skating. If a race on a motorized skateboard is anything like downhill you could have some sick burnout drift races. Also some induro aspects to long distance races. Regenerative braking for charging the battery? Very interesting prospects.

Thanks for the showcase in motors. I'm curious if you have thought of the magnet length inside the motors? There are long motors which aren't intended for skateboard use but people shoehorn them in for powerful braking and regen. ie. Instead of 6355 its 63 and the length is 80 really weird but it works with wide trucks

Hello Mike, I'm interested in motorizing my quad skates. It all depends on what motor fits under my plate.

Will a single 270kv motor go up a decent hill?

Excellent video. Looking to build my first DIY (already have meepoV2) I think you have made my decision on belt motors 👌🏼

Apreciate this video so much Mike! Just as many of your other videos, you do so well on making it simple and easily understandable. I just have one doubt. I am making an e-mountainboard, considering lower kv makes for better torque, will a 140kv 6374 motor, 8 inch wheels with an Mboards 10s 3p give me good hill climbing performance?

Does anyone know any good hubmotors for an either 9s4p or 12s3p battery with 3.7v per cell?
