I had a ghost leviathan headbutt my prawn outside the map once in the dead river zone. I get why they put the leviathans in those zones but placing such large creatures in such a small and enclosed area was definitely a immersion mistake. I think the one thing that spoiled the game for me then anything else was those moments when i decided to fight back against the constant attacks from those creatures only to watch them no-clip through the rock to get away.

I want everyone to know that you too can have crazy moments like this if you just play the game and be adventurous. Enjoy yourself, bc my favorite thing about these videos isn’t that they’re isolated incidents- it’s that they’re everyday life in Subnautica, and I can laugh at them from my own data saves.

this kinda happened to me but to my advantage. I was just getting some ore deposits in the lava zone as usual, staying low, farming ore, until I decide to head up to enter the alien thermal plant, but the dragon had saw. Charging at me, it spat fireballs in my direction, managing to dodge under the dragon, I found myself in a situation where I had to make a choice: Go into a nearby cave, or juke the dragon and head into the passageway to the thermal plant. I chose to head to the thermal plant. Using the grappling hook I rocketed up the mountain, hitting an outcrop that stopped me in my tracks, forcing me to land on a small platform on the side of the mound. The dragon charged once again to bite, this time pushing me through the map after flying though the void from the knockback of the dragon, right into the thermal plant, leaving me dazed, confused, and relieved. TLDR: dragon gave me an unsolicited shortcut to the thermal plant.

I had an issue one time towards the end of my first game. I was in the process of collecting the plants at the end, and for SOME reason, a ghost leviathan decided it was a great idea to attack my base.(which was next the the pod mind you) Well, having killed the sea dragon in that save, I didn't think anything short of God could stop me. Sure enough, I turned that guy upside down after an extensive battle. I used the grapple, wrangled, and punched the shit out of him. It was soooo satisfying to see it turn over. I felt like a God. I ended that game having conquered the planet.

I already save like crazy because I'm paranoid after all the weird ways my runs got messed up...this clip just made me 10x more paranoid minimum lol

Ive gotten so used to the game at this point that im not constantly scared. If anything, im just always tense and I never realize until I pause the game and actually relax 😭

When i streamed subnautica one of my channel rewards was to fight leviathans. Fought a reaper who dragged me under the map, i sank for thousands of meters hoping to get reset but it wouldnt. That specific prawn suit was a fan favorite throughout the series, killed so many leviathans, the name had even changed from reapers bane to leviathan bane. I lost hours of progress just to save that exact prawn suit 😂

You know, it's really depressing that despite all the time they took making this game and how well it turned out, that they couldn't have put collision detection on their leviathans, or at least decent pathing AI.

Had something like that but with a reaper that grabbed me trough the roof when i was collecting diamonds in the moutain, a spider attacked me and then out of nowhere the reaper grabbed me. I was under the moutain and a second reaper came. Now i dont go to the moutain anymore. The reapers grab me to the moutain.

Yeah, that happened to me too in the Inactive Lava Zone. I quit out without saving to keep my Prawn Suit.

Had a similar incident when I was inside the lava caste collecting resources. Sea Dragon clipped through the walls and ate me with it's one hit kill attack. Crap like this is the reason I will never play in hardcore mode.

Dude I literally lost a nine hour hard-core save in the lava castle when I came out of the thermal plant and it glitched me out of my prawn suit and all the water disappeared. I turned on no cost to try to build my way back up to my prom suit so I can hopefully fix the glitch maybe, but then the sea dragon came through the floor and killed me while I was trying to build outside.
