Lot of people do not realize that Osho lost nothing, America missed a chance, and Roland Reagan is forgotten long back. Osho will continue to become more and more relevant with time. In the expanse of eternity, consciousness has played a deep joke.

I wanted to thank the KATU News for covering this story back in the 1980s and sharing with the coming generations. Baghwan died in 1990 and I became interested in his works in 1991 and missed seeing him in his physical body. I have listened to thousands of his tapes and love the guy. I was a fundamentalist Sikh at the time and learned the equality of humanity from Osho. Listening to him, I have come to realize the greatness of so many saints of the past - from Buddha to Jesus to Nanak to J Krishamurti (a contemporary of Osho). Before Osho, I was just boxed into Sikhism which now looks so stupid looking back. Life has been beautiful because I have lived during his time.

It is very interesting to see how the commune evolved and how things became unmanageable and corrupt in some sense. With any large project there is a potential of things going wrong. I have heard some later tapes of Osho (when he started discourses back in Pune, India) where he has commented on this experiment. The main comment he made was that his people had to just manage so much to run the city and had less time to focus on themselves. Watching these KATU videos, I can see how much work it was for those City management sanyassins. They were brave souls, hats off to them. Those tough times where they were butting heads with various levels of governments make it clear that this experiment couldn't have succeeded in those days.

Lot of the people are missing Baghwan because of the issues with people around him or how they tried to establish this commune. My hope is that over time the focus will shift to who he was and just think of the commune as one of the visions he had to share his message. He was way bigger than the commune. These historical documentaries and his audio/video discourses will enable the coming generations to decide for themselves. Thanks again KATU News!!!

I was a very willing participant in the four years of Rajneesh Purams construction and evolution. I had waited life times for this incredible opportunity to create a model of living for humanity. Existence chose this experiment to be in America, to this day in 2023 I have no idea why, and I have wondered. I have thought that it was to show the world what a criminally corrupt government resides and flourishes in this land, but this is such a minor part of the story.
The real work was the revolution of consciousness that vibrated in those fortunate to find their way there.
I will be eternally grateful. Thank you Osho, thank you for paying the price of taking so many of us on this journey into ourselves. Nirdosh ❤

Osho was treated the way Christ was treated, very unfortunate. America missed the greatest soul of this earth.

The world will end and America will not be able to produce one like Rajneesh.

As someone that just came across this story, I can definitely see why many people were fascinated by the Bhagwan. His energy is infectious.

Osho was a man of wisdom, peace, poise and tranquility. He was a guide to the suffering humanity. He is still the doctor for the disease of the Ego. Osho spells harmony. The loss is humanity"s. We humans desist all change. Especially change towards the good.

He was an angel/ मसीहा/फरिश्ता.
He was an god.
But he is no more now.
But he is in our memories.
His path is eternal and immortal.
I am following him. I am happy.
I have got enlightenment. I
Will get salvation one day in my country.
World needs him again.
But this is impossible now.
His path will remain forever in world. Follow him.
Simple.

I was born on 10th January 1990 and 9 days later OSHO left his body on 19th January 1990.
I never met him or knew him personally. But it pains my heart to see the master in handcuffs.😢
OSHO was a superhuman. He was tortured and killed but now he is getting more and more relevant with time.

He was centuries ahead of his time, which is the destiny of a mystic, just like Jesus Christ, Gautam Buddha, Meister Eckart, Rumi, and all those who knew. May humanity be led out of its dream state into the bliss of Life.
