She was a very beautiful girl/woman. She lived a hard life. God bless her. Rest In Peace Gisela and the dear children. ❤️🌹❤️

Elizabeth faught with Francis Joseph to be able to have her daughters with her, she faught to change the pediatrician, she faught to have the right to take of her children educatin but all these battles were lost. The problem was her husband and mother in law not Elizabeth.

archduchess sophie refused to let sissi raise her children. sissi was there solely for producing heirs, though she and her husband loved each other. the children were taken from her at birth (more or less). her beauty was all sissi had, so she worked at it endlessly, even becoming obsessed with exercise to stay thin.

Wow....I was totally enraptured. The history of such a lovely and beautiful woman who was pretty and interesting is such a refresher. Thank you for the research I had never heard of her until today (9/4/19) and 2 things i love to learn about... Are history and great happy love stories. Even tho of course there was scandals, as well as the ups and downs, it was nice to know that as a royal who survived her reign, she was loved and lived a happy life. Great video!

Thank you so much for your videos. I can't even imagine the research it takes to put one of these together. Also, you have a pleasant speaking voice, and it is easy to listen to, you take your time and don't rush, and finally the background music is not manotonous. Thank you ! I enjoy your videos very much.

Thank you! This was very interesting. Here in Germany I have heard so much about Sissi, Giselas mother. I knew so less about Gisela, she musst have been a wonderful woman. And she was beautiful!

Yes, even tho Gisele's father was a kind man, he was incredibly weak and let his mother control their entire lives. Her and her siblings lives may have been completely different if he had a backbone. His mother was cruel to Sissi and seems to have been told daily that her children were better off without her.
I'm glad Gisele found some happiness away from the horrid woman !

Sisi was in my deduction of it was jealous of her daughter she was just as beautiful she was jealous that she got to raise her children when she had the misfortune of having her mother in law STILL VERY ACTIVE IN HER SON'S LIFE. Her children was taken from her. This is why she loved her youngest daughter she had the chance to . when it came to her son he kept contact with her when he could. So when he died i could see her world being over

Being a royal isn't always the glamour and fun it' s percieved to be. For some, it may have seemed like a prison sentence. Even to those who were born to that life.

Thk you so much for this lovely video of Gisela n the Kaiser Franz Josef & Empr. Sissi of Habsburg. Why she called her own child Gisela, a swin n her Kids piglets, this is awful of her. Franz Josef was to conservative, his son Rudolf, want ed to modernise Habsburg, but his dad got angry & said no! Then Rudolf run away with his young mistress & killed her & himself, cos he wasn't allowed to do some th. worthy in life, cos his Dad, was still the Emperor & they lost Lorraine, in France & other countries due to wars with Preussia, France & Bavaria. My Mum is frm Bavaria, have spent most my holidays in Munich, Schwabing with my granny. I like Leopold street, Herzog- in Schwabing & I went to Wilhelm school in Schwabing. My cousin went to Gisela Gymnasium. My Uncle showed us the Residence Palace of King Ludwig 2, University is close 2 Gisela st., in Dec. they have 3 traditional x-markets @ Marien place, the Residence the big trees are decorated gorgeousley with gold ribbons n red candles, it s the nicest X-mas market I ve ever seen. We had dinner at the Hofbräu Haus, in Munich if u like a Radler Maß, is half of lemonade n rest is beer, I drank this as a teenie! Spend a few days there, Café Ritchard has nice Applestrudel € 2.80 & other desserts, coffee n Bretzeln re great & is a Ritchard Bakery Shop @ Metro statn: Münchner Freiheit, @ Marien place & Munich Main Train Station on top n below before going 2 U-Bahn. Take a comfy DB Bus or Flixbus to Munich

Fun fact… she was a teenage bride and teenage mom. So sad. She likely just made the best of the hand she was dealt… as ALL women do around the world and have for eons.

Some of the info in this video Elisabeth would visit Gisela in Munich and she would often write letters to each other and later in her life would say that she regretted not spending as much time as she could with her 2 oldest.and when Elisabeth traveled Gisela would often join her and Marie Valerie and after the death of Rudolph she made sure to spend more time with her last surviving daughters and would often.
