I grew up with a whole house water softener. It was so nice that I didn’t have to use much detergent or shampoo with soft water. Cut the cost tremendously!!! Soft water is the best way to go!! My skin was always soft and never had to use lotion on my body!!!😊

My own personal experience using a shower filter has been great. I bought it on Amazon, very affordable, great reviews, and such a quick installation (I did it myself yay). My hair has less frizz since and my skin is less dry. I’d lie if I said I don’t have to moisturize I still do. However my KP is a lot better now. ♥️♥️ I do recommend 😊

I recently purchased and installed the Jolie shower filter I wanted to try it due to excess hair shedding I was experiencing. Let me tell you - IT WORKS!!! I’ve gone from a pile of hair in my drain to zero hair. Literally zero. I’m currently testing my hair brush to see if there’s less hair as well.

For 7 years, I have been struggling with dry skin and hair loss due to hormonal disorders, and the Hard water in the state I moved to has only made it worse. I noticed the difference immediately. The hard water bounces off your skin and doesn't absorb. You can wind up practically dry before even leaving the shower. I'm grateful for this information before investing in any expensive softeners and filters.

The research must be lacking. I moved from a moderate hard water location to an extreme water location. Upon moving, my hair felt absolutely terrible, and my acne worsened. I installed a shower filter, and my hair and skin improved so much. So many other people have noticed this effect.

I live in Florida which has the hardest and stinkiest water I've ever felt and smelt in my life and I can say I can't shower everyday unless I have a filter. It makes that much of a difference.

My own experiences : we used to vacation in upstate NY in an A-frame house on a mountain. The water supply came from 400 feet below & was then filtered thru a purifier w/an ultra violet lamp. All I know is, I didn't like how showering there made my hair look, respond, or feel. Here at home, we have a filter on our shower. It removes chlorine.The first time I took a shower after the filter was put on, my skin was much happier. My skin was finally comfortable. And that filter is not expensive & super easy to install. We've had it for 3 yrs & replaced filter cartridge twice. ....so... not expensive.

use an "off the shelf" water filter to shower. Chlorine was prevalent and drying. Thanks again for the excellent vid!

I bought a korean brand one last year and it's been filtering out some nasty stuff from the pipes. Whether it's good for the hair or not, I'm still buying the refills 😅

There are laws and regulations depending on where you live regarding water softeners. Some states like California and Texas have some sort of ban or restriction on salt based softeners. In this case, you can opt for a saltless water conditioner instead. As for water filtration, a whole house reverse osmosis is the most effective type of filtration. Very expensive and uses a lot of water though. A local plumber can help you decide if you want water treatment in your residence.

Hi Andrea, I would love a video on household cleansers, hand soaps ect that have sensitive skin and smell sensory issues.
I'm already using Vanicream in the shower and face cleanser, unscented moisturizers and ALL Free and Clear laundry soap w/ dryer balls.

We saved up to purchase a whole house water softener.Prior to that, we had a screw on filter on the shower, but it wasn’t the answer for us. Bonus: our fixtures and such are lasting so much longer without the mineral corrosion.
