Freighter variants of the 747 remain popular with cargo airlines. The final 747 was delivered to Atlas Air in January 2023 after a 54-year production run, with 1, 574 aircraft built. As of December 2023, 64 Boeing 747s (4.1%) have been lost in accidents and incidents, in which a total of 3, 746 people have died.

This plane is the one I’m most familiar with besides the Boeing 737. I just loved the design of this particular plane. The nostalgia makes it even better. Rest in peace queen of the skies!

Nothing is more of a status symbol of a successful airline. Even the Concorde could not overpower it. It was truly the most comfortable airliner ever

It’s really sad to hear this, I was such a nerd of the Boeing 747. But I think they did this to protect us because there has been a lot of complaints, injuries, malfunctions, and last but not least crashes. R.I.P 747
