That's a lot of power son, don't let it go to your head.

This dude is my hero! Utilizing two fairly inexpensive motors to get more bang for your buck.  Wish I had thought of it first.  Well played Mr. Spedingo. Well played.

I just make my wife hold onto the back and kick. Works great!

I have a 55 thrust kota trolling motor on my flat back canoe paired with a diehard group 31 battery.
I have a spare 45 thrust kota and after watching this video went out and bought a group 31 exide from academy to pair it with.
And I am impressed you really go faster ..There is more water noise since im going faster through it ;)
Very nice on a electric motor lake only .

does work amazing.... powerful to make wake upstream and downstream... two friends on a 14 Sundolphin Scout Elite canoe. Quick assembly, very solid construction. A great buy.

I have two batteries. One Bass pro xps deep cycle, and 1 Exide 160. And can fish for 8 hours. When I get back I have had 30 percent on each battery. I also use a humminbird 170.

I was thinking a 2 hp gas, I don't know, I will give it a try. The water near me is full of rocks, everywhere, so don't want to spend the money. Not worth taking a fiber glass boat in. And They no longer make small aluminum boats.

ya, I was thinking about doing this rather than buying a noisy gas motor. Looks like it will work

It’s not uncommon to see speedboats and similar fitted with twin outboard engines (two propellers in the water, more efficient transfer of power than a single propeller on a single larger engine) to boost speed and performance, so twin trolling motors should obviously offer similar benefits. Since gas outboard motors are so darn expensive, this solution is very intriguing.

We have several electric only reservoirs around here. I see this quite often where someone mounts two trolling motors on the transom. That's the fastest way to go if you can't use an outboard.

This was awesome man..I got I got 1 on the front and 1 on the back so both passengers can steer but we crank em both on when we are trying to get somewhere

Which option is better. 2 30lb trolling motors or 1 86lb trolling motor?

Sorry about the delay guys.  No I was comparing the speed to a single 50 lb.  Have since spread them out a little bit.  Seems to help.

should hook both motors to 1 throttle and create a rudder right behind in middle of both

That's pretty cool, ... I was thinking of doing it before, now I'm on my way to get nother 30lbs tooling motor and another battery. What speed did you reach? Thanks for sharing your videoclip.

Awesome idea. I'm gonna do this on a Seahawk 4. This is gonna be cool!!!!

Yeah, 8 Hundred lb worth of trolling motors is 800 amps that's 200 lb of batteries if using lifepo4, and that will only give you thrust for one hour. I wanted to do that as well, but the batteries needed are insane

After seeing this I settled on two group 27 batteries in minn kota boxes, with one 30 lb minn kota on the transom and another 30 lb mounted up front, but out of the water, ready to install on the back if my first craps out- no padding needed!!
