So metal sounds different than wood, but do different woods sound different?

You can't just throw that out and not talk about the signal chain you were using, my dude.

Well, we hear with our eyes, so you probably need to do an A/B comparison, also, pickup position is important, for example, that spector is going to sound different than a regular fender PJ

No consideration of the different pickups, different pickup spacing or the amp being used?

I'd recommend reading up on the placebo effect

There is definitely no difference between different tonewoods, but there is definitely a difference between woods and metals and acrylics and any other materials you would make a guitar/bass out of

I think tone wood dose somthing but it's minimal on electric. A guy forgot his name made guitars out of news paper, color pencils, glass and cement and they sounded grate unless it was all fake. Would the the hollow bass behave like an acoustic with a pickup?

hands > everything else > then wood

The difference in wood is minimal. I do, however, believe in bad wood. Dead spots or non-harmonic wood. The biggest factor is the player. Just like guitar players. I've played & owned enough basses in my life to know it's the player & the electronics.

Thats not evidence that tonewood is a thing. Its evidence that steel and wood are different

90 % of sounds comes from the neck & strings… that’s what I heard from experts…

Yeah, that’s a false equivalency. As someone who believes in tonewoods, you are harming the argument with that video.
