to see if products will produce white flakes, put both products in the palm of your hands, rub em together n if its clear then youre good. if it turns white, they dont mix well.

Lately. When I do the wash and go with just the gel I have started brushing through the section with the denman brush before applying the product .. It does cause a little more shrinkage but I think it's a great training tool for our curls... Like a booster! Very nice video.. Way to embrace you! 💚

I'm so glad I came across your page. I have the same type of hair texture. 3c-4a and I can't do any creamy products for WNGs. It will only last for 1 day with a creamy product. Thanks for sharing

Yes! I talk about this in my hair and beauty group on Facebook. I call it Non Compatible products. Now Eco Styling gel is compatible with Creme of nature Butter-licious Curls cream but the ones that aren't compatible with it is Dark and Lovely Au Natural creams and Aunt Jackie products. That's when you get the cottage cheese effect in your hair!

Tee day thank you SO Much for this video. Like you I too have extremely low porosity hair, and after 5yrs and a few moths of battling with it I came on YouTube this evening in sheer frustration after continuously getting the white balls you talk about, trying to do what everyone else does (leave-in and gel, or leave-in, oil and gel). My hair is just not having it. So I typed in 'gel only wash and go' and yours was the first video that came up. Will def give it a try sis. Curly/coily haired men don't do all this layering business and it works for them, so I'm sure it's gonna work for me.

This looks so pretty on you! I cannot use Eco styler by itself on my curls. I have to use an oil and a leave in before it so it doesn't get crunchy. The best wash n go I've ever done was when I saturated all my hair with water before applying the products on. It left my hair really defined and on top of that moisturized. I've tried many other ways to achieve a wng and that way has been the best for me.

Your hair is more of the 3c/4a texture. 4b and 4c is a little more tightly coiled and you hair is not. Your wash and go looks great

I had the same problem...whiteness and low porosity went back ole sckool and now I use a little moisture max.... found at walmart and I've switched to the clear eco styler I can say my wash n gos turn out fab!!

I had the same problem in the front and too... I gave my self a Minnie chop and it grew out similar to the rest of my hair. although the shrinkage in that area was non existent compared to the other areas of my I'm much happier since I did it and I can't wait to gain my length back now that the texture is the same all over....

I love wash go's on other people too. The very back nape area is a loose curl patten and I end up looking like I have a mullet because my front is kinky. I haven't tried a wash and go since my hair has grown out, maybe I'll try it my next off day.

omg our hair texture is the same! Its been like this all my life, never had heat damage, a relaxer, nothing! I've learned to be creative with my hair because it was different from everybody else's and I started loving my hair more and more each day!
