Remember, this isn't even a foraging update anymore, if it was, there'd be no reason for it to take 5 years to release. The update is also gonna add new content for combat, fishing, and probably a lot of other skills, not even including hunting.

This is going to open up so many possibilities for Skyblock going forward. From new items to play with, to a possible official resource pack with the new custom item model features, to the absurd amount of hidden technical changes that will likely make everything smoother and more responsive. I can't wait to see what kind of upgrades this brings.

Quite a HUGE deal. 1.21.4 has multiple new features, an overall much stronger backend versus an old version like 1.8.9.
The testing and long delay is definitely to mitigate as many bugs as possible.

Tbh i think its so much better for Skyblock to be on the latest versions. Many many many more features were added. So many for server side stuff. Data packs are insanely powerful now. I rly wanna see what they have cooked for us

I've been using skyblocker for a while now because it was annoying to try to get other mods for it and now im so happy it will probably get new features because of this.

I think after updating to 1.21 they will do a qol changes on gui(latest versions enable more customisation) and maybe another one to sort out any bugs then foraging could be coming up.
Tldr: foraging in 6-8 weeks

I am pretty certain that it will take a month before they do any Foraging tests, mainly because this is a major change and they should not rush testing the version update.

I think reasonable hopes would be post tomorrow, alpha in a week with just 1.21 changes and any visuals with that, new models guis ect, and maybe some balancing in preparation for the foraging update, giving jungle axe and treecap sweep for example and maybe some tweaks to the foraging pets, after two weeks of that on alpha they push it to main and start foraging update on alpha, god knows how long that will be on alpha though, I feel like its big enough that it being on alpha for a month might not be out of the picture
