I have made a few flights over the years. Last year I went to Portugal. I don't feel confident in my upcoming trip to New Zealand next month. I turn 73 when I am there and a female traveling alone. Here are the recommendations in the video

1. Set up Uber properly in each country, ensure safety features are enabled
2. Share your trip itinerary with contacts at home in case of emergency
3. Get a local sim card, or setup a travel e-sim on your phone
4. Download offline map of where you're staying or hike routes
5. Take a small effort to learn a few words of the local language
6. Look up current exchange rate and get a basic feel for prices abroad
7. Start with a beginner-friendly country (countries which speak your language, have a large expat community)
8. Leave your expensive stuff at home
9. Try to avoid overpacking (You don't need 50% of what you want to take)
10. Get a travel power adapter
11. Be prepared for immigration entry requirements (Visas, passport)
12. Take photos of all important documents
13. Always get travel insurance (You never know when you'll need it)
14. Don't blindly follow Youtuber advice, do your research, trust your gut
15. Know what you're allowed to fly with (don't take a swiss army knife in your carry-on luggage)

If you are a tall or big person, or a woman with deeper décolletage, bring the clothes and shoes. You may not be able to find your size in Asian nations.
