Producer Interview: Jake Magness (Machine Gun Kelly, Chainsmokers, Olivia Rodrigo)

Jake Magness is a multi-platinum engineer and producer, based in LA who has worked with some of the world's biggest artists in pop including Machine Gun Kelly, The Chainsmokers, Olivia Rodrigo and Halsey. Having put in the hours as an engineer under legendary producer John Feldmann, Jake is starting to work with artists in his own right as a producer and songwriter.

We caught up with Jake to talk about his story, how his Dad introduced him to Reason as a child and what Reason means to him. We even dive into a few sessions to show how Reason's instruments and effects play a role in his productions. Enjoy! #reasongang

That's dope that Jake literally found the perfect sound from Reasons original sythersizor and for Me still a regular go to synth, the Subtractor, that and Melstrums is My two most used soft sythersizors despite having Obsession RE, Europa, and various VSTs.
