How to Create Series on Instagram IGTV

Watch a full video to learn to create a series on Instagram IGTV. Like most new things, when IGTV first launched in 2018, people didn’t really know what to make of it. Was it for creators? Brands? Regular people? And what’s the deal with the vertical video? Basically, IGTV had an identity crisis. But as Instagram continued to invest in IGTV, adding new tools and features, a pattern emerged. Rather than producing one-off videos on a semi-regular basis, businesses and creators started creating TV-like “episodic” or "series" content centered around a specific theme or topic.

You can make your own series on IGTV. Here's how.

1. Go to your Instagram profile page and tap the "+" button in the top right.
2. Select "IGTV Video."
3. Select a video from your library to upload.
4. Scroll across the bottom to pick a cover image, and tap "Next."
5. Title your video and add a description.
6. When you're done, tap "Add to Series."
7. On the next screen, tap "Create Your First Series."
8. Title your series and give it a description. Then tap "Create."
9. Now, in your video menu, your series title and episode number should appear under the "Add to Series" option
10. Tap "Post to IGTV" at the bottom.

Your new series will appear on your profile page between your "post" section and your "tagged post" section.
