Yes! I did that whole Akila side-quest and much to my surprise one of the NPC's who plays a big part in that whole quest line GIVES you this awesome gun for free as a reward for helping out!
It's an awesome gun, and my current go-to for sniping!!

Go do that New Game+. You get really strong Legendary Armor and a Ship. The armor keeps upgrading to NG+ 6 and the ship to NG+10. You also need to NG+ in order to make out your powers to lvl 10

Just keep in mind that if you go get this weapon at an early level it’ll be given to you as a base tier. There are 5 tiers for weapons ( Base, Calibrated, Refined, Advanced and Superior) As you level up your character you’ll gradually unlock each tier. So if you complete this quest at a low level and get the base tier version of the weapon it’ll become obsolete as you level up your character. Vs if you wait till you’re a higher level and receive the weapon as a higher tier. If that makes sense

It's good but remember, the higher the level of our character, the better the weapon, so if you want to deal 150+ damage with it, get to level 40 or higher for it to be "advanced" same for other "weapon" rewards

I got a sick weapon I didn’t even know I could get, it was a semi automatic rifle that made 600 dmg and could be used as a sniper due to its 100 meter range. Also it was legendary with three of the best perks ever. I’m not even in level 30 yet 🤯

You can just get the standard one and put points into your ballistics, sniper and stealth trait. Good to go after.

Hmm i came across with a common advanced old earth hunting rifle with 110+ damage at level 12-13 in a armor shop (there's stolen goods trade-in store and a bar with Jake's cure particle gun nearby) we can steal common minigun in jemison, he just put it on the table like common gears. By the way my gameplay diffulty level is very hard, this is probably my reason of getting it

Personally I don't even know what gun I have as it's a special gun that I bought for a lot of cash it is decent dealing around 40 damage per shot it's not my best gun but I do use it because of how good it is when stealth as it has a suppressor in it and obviously it deals like 80 damage at that point which isn't a lot but based on the fact I'm still kinda early in the game (I've done like 4 main story mission) it is still pretty good and the reason I've only done 4 main missions is because I've been focusing mostly on the sysdef vs the crimson fleet side missions

I just have a rare version of that rifle and it's cracked...I spent an hour hitting every vendor just for ammo..If you want to get those sneak attacks to level the skill..this rifle is for you.

Hope thats just the low level version as I have a Mag Sniper that does 750ish and over 1, 500 when its a charged shot. And thats not even counting critical hits either.

Just fyi dont worry about good shit youll get them in the higher levels and if you really want something good main quest line has a few op weapons. Like the breacher in nishina. Good for alien farming exp
