As hard as it is sometimes we have no other choice but to change with the times... Nothing is ever permanent in life, life is always changing and forcing us to change with it. That is why its very important to love the friends and family in your life today and enjoy the present moment because one day it will all be a distant memory... Many people wait until its to late and then regrette not spending enough time with the people they love etc... I have lost allot of beautiful people in my life, many died or made their transitions very early in life... Today i don't waste a bloody minute not being grateful for every waking moment i have here. Being 51 now, this song brings back so many memories of my youth. Now that I've officially lost both of my parents (my dad just passed this year: April 24, 2024). I have tears in my eyes typing this. I know they are both together in a better place. However hearing this song, remembering the movie it was in when my folks took me to see Tootsie, remembering my mom and dad playing this 45 record on the stereo, or on cassette during really brings back so many happy memories. However, tonight it hit me really hard that I'm going to miss my two bestest friends in the world, who also happened to be my parents. This song will always remind me of the bond you two had with each other. Being each other's soul mates. Mom always said its rare when you get to marry your best friend, and she said she got lucky when she met you, dad. High school sweethearts and were married for 54 years until mom passed in 2017.
