British Baked Beans (Heinz Copycat Recipe, recipe link below)

British Baked Beans are just like store bought Heinz, and as close in flavor as you will find, but better because they’re homemade and haven’t been sitting in a can. Similar to American-style, but meat-free and without the smoky flavor, just like mum used to serve. Navy, great northern (or haricot) beans are cooked in tomato sauce for a taste of a British classic.

You don't need to add cornstarch, just smash up a handful of the beans and the starches in the beans will do the same thing.

I'm American, but I much prefer the British style baked beans in tomato sauce over the Boston style that uses molasses. Beans taste great with other savory ingredients, so beans with sugar and molasses don't go together well for me.

Interesting, what kind of beans are those? I want to try that recipe, but here in South America we have different kinds of beans. Those look soft, and tasty😅...

British Baked Beans look more like pork and beans without the pork. Thinner and stuff. American Baked Beans are thick and sweet with bacon too. I love them.
