Hooky's voice is just eerily like Ian's. Crazy! I love this!

when I think of Joy Division I also think of Stephen Morris's inhuman drumming on live perfomances

Saw Hooky's show with other Russell Club veterans who disagree with you. Happy just to hear the songs live again. But as you like. Respect. Found irony in your comment about you "remembering" that punk wasn't about "old men remembering." 1977 was nearly heaven, black white and pink, just think. Still more to come. Ho hum, ho hum. And now we are old men remembering. Nostalgia ain't what it used to be. But it always was nostalgia for an age yet to come. Be glad we had a chance to be there.

It's just sound idiot to me compare Peter Hook to Ian Curtis. He is doing a amazing job as a tribute band to New Order and Joy Division. Don't judge his performs by the videos on internet. Go on the live shows. If you are a huge fan of NO and JD as I'm. If you have a great desire to listen much more songs that NO plays, go for it. Take some beer, chil out, enjoy the great moment. I already saw his shows three times. Each year they gets even better. They are becoming criticaly acclaimed as well. Good blesses PETER HOOK!

@Satyagrahaha Yes I have not seen them live but my mother was a good personal friend of Ian and I have been listening to Joy division for lest say al of my live and I am a bass player my self so I think I'm inclined to an opinion.

calm down its just a celebration of the music, Joy Division weren't punk they were New Wave, I'd rather hear Hooky's band play them properly than some shite covers band from (enter shite city here), never saw JD live I was only three when Ian died, but as an owner of everything they ever released, I'm deffo up for seeing them perform 'Unknown Pleasures' at the end of the year.

This is really good. It looks like he's trying to imitate the physical mannerisms of Ian Curtis a little bit.

THOSE EPIC SONGS NEED SOMETHING OF AN ATMOSPHERE, A POST PUNK FEELING OF URBAN EMPTINESS

THIS VERSION AND THE WHOLE EFFORT HAS NOTHING OF THE ABOVE.
IT IS TOO ROCK FOR

IT IS BETTER IF THEYGATHER ONCE OR MORE EVERY YEAR TO REMIND US THE SONGS OF THE MOST IMPORTANT GROUP OF ALL AGES BUT NOT TO MAKE IT AS A PROFFESION

The guitarist looks a little like Curtis.
