New Patient Tower - Henry Ford Macomb Hospital

The new tower at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital features 160 all-private patient rooms. The new Janet & Jim Riehl North Tower is the largest expansion project since the hospital was built in 1975.

The tower is a 225,000 square foot structure that is five stories tall. The 160 patient rooms were designed with feedback from patients, families, physicians and other team members and are adaptable to meet the community’s growing needs for critical care. The tower connects to the existing hospital on the main floor and through bridges on floors 2 and 5.

Construction began in summer 2021 and was completed in May 2023.
