What is a polite way to say 'none of your business' when people ask nosy questions? 🤔🙄

My sis once told me "if anyone calls you skinny or makes fun of you for being skinny, just say atleast im not fat like you" i was a bit taken aback and then she just said "don't actually say that" but i do plan to use it one day lol.

I just genuinely don’t understand how they can make fun of you when they’re the ones that could’ve been bullied the entire time❤😢

I was at lunch with my friend and her friends and her friend asked me if i was going to eat and i said i dont eat lunch usually the girl looked disgusted and said called me skinny as if it was an insult. I don’t eat lunch because the medicine i take makes me not hungry so i eat two breakfastes and two dinners to try and compensate for that but i still lose weight because i eat small portions.
So i find comments like this extremely rude because you never know why someone is the way they are.

As someone who overcame that, I wish I was on the Reddit to comment what the hell. Guess I didn’t have it bad enough if I (34F, 5’4) only went from 295 to 165, 80 of which was in just one year.

But a friend put it into focus for me once. At the time she was 5’10 and 120lb and I said she was so lucky. She pointed out how she finds herself all bony and too long, and no one is ever really comfortable with themselves in their teens. It takes a while to get to that point.

"None of your business" IS polite. Because it is none of their business.

If I ever get asked a nosy question I say, "That's a very personal issue and one which I don't care to discuss with you." If they don't let up asking me I tell them, "Buzz off, Bozo. You're annoying."

For some reason one of my least favorite nosey questions is “how much did you pay for that?” There is one family member who always asks it and I don’t know how to respond without being rude

I ask this out of pure worry and concern: are you in a good space now?

If I was your friend I'd just be like "omg what's your exercise your body is in shape"

I am rude enough and I absolutely tell people to look in a mirror or I'll say at least I'm not a circle with no neck. 😊

Don't start none and I won't retaliate, I have 10 siblings and you can bet your ass I can dish out as well as take it.

I wouldn’t know what the polite answer should be, I go right for the answer that shuts them up.

When someone asks a rude question, the only response should be, "Why would you ask that?" If they persist, you can escalate to, "I don't understand why you feel the need to know that." Rinse. Repeat. Until they go away.

Why would a perfectly healthy family just bite the dust? Out of nowhere? That makes absolutely no sense. If this story is real that is highly suspicious
