some background: LO,ON and i came up with this idea when i went through old comments on the lyricover for derse dreamers i did back in the day, and someone said it would be better with dave rapping.

so we decided to do that. but instead of redoing derse dreamers with a rap, we decided to take a tip from mother mother on their hayloft i and ii songs. i flipped the riff around a bit and we worked through from there.

jeremy, if you're reading this, i hope you're proud of how grown up derse dreamers is!!!! i wanted to contact you about this but nothing worked. so, in your absence, we hope you appreciate it.

i never knew you made a part two to derse dreamers and its literally. everything. i couldve ever imagined and more!!!! whereas the og was about the beta strilondes’ green sun suicide mission specifically, this one has the general vibes of the alpha strilondes to me :0

the lines “finding all thats hidden / shouldve stayed far away” and “im not asking im just taking / im not stumbling im just breaking through” make me think of roxy the most (the one about the light blinding you reminds me of her first meeting rose too omfg)

meanwhile dirk and hal (or all the dirk splinters honestly) are having a bro rap battle showdown of the century LMAO

finding this channel again filled me with so much love for all the fan created content homestucks have made over the years, lots of them have helped me through rough patches especially your music ^u^

Ah yes, good. Us fans who've been loving it for over a decade now are still here. My content is shifting away from it now but I still cosplay Mother Lalonde at every convention I go to, still listen to all the marvelous fan-made music (and will absolutely be listening to this song again and again too!) and still have fondness in my heart for Homestuck. I don't think I'll ever NOT be a fan haha!
