Psirri is an amazing area to go at night...tons of tavernas....many with live music such as this. For non-Greeks, and who may be in Athens and trying to locate the area of Psirri, if you try to stop a Greek on the street to ask them, be sure you pronounce it correctly, or they won't understand. I (American) was initially pronouncing it as 'SEE-REE', and no one knew what I was trying to say. But the trick to pronounce Psirri correctly, for Americans??.... Think of when you are trying to get someone's attention, and you say 'PSSST'. Well it's that same concept for saying 'Psirri'. Quickly start with 'PSSS' and then immediately add 'EE-REE' to it. Then practice a few times. PSSS-EE-REE. ;-)

There, you have it!! Poli Kala.
