Two more malaria cases found in Florida; Doctor explains symptoms and treatment

"It's not clear why we have malaria now in this part of the country," Dr. Manuel Gordillo says of two new cases found in Florida. Malaria "symptoms are nonspecific and could be due to a number of different things,” requiring a specific test to determine whether a malarial infection is present in a patient with flu-like symptoms.

The reasons all these diseases are coming back is because people are not vaccinating for it, the Florida population has grown three times compared to years back, there is more flooding and waters are not draining properly, the counties are not fumigating like they use too due to low fundings from the state, the hospitals are exhausted with a rise of viruses and infections so specific testings are being overlooked.
