Well, did you end up keeping the Sc65?

Just found your channel - Nice review of a great little light.

I always put it this way for the ZL SC65C... It's the best backup light out there. I used to carry a 14500 (AA) as my backup, but I've found the SC65C is SO close in size, with similar output, to so many of those with 2-3 times the battery capacity that's it's virtually perfect for that role.

I dig the UI - I've configured Group 7 so that Hold goes to Low, Click goes to Med and 2x Click goes to turbo AND so that from whichever mode I'm in, the alternate level goes to turbo. That way I'm never more than 2 clicks from turbo and still have 3 choices.
Group 6 is everything set to level one - kinda like a moonlight lockout mode that doesn't require turning the tailcap.

Took some doing, but it's been amazing in use. I have similar love for my SC700 and my SC600... All great lights and sized beautifully.

Love my Zebras. Take some time to learn the programming. I rarely use the high mode also so I reprogrammed all my Zebras. From off hold for low, single click for medium and a double click for high. Single click for medium is my most used level and I’m glad they are able to be programmed.

Love the Zebralight’s man, been using them for years. H600fd is one of my favorites, that frosted lens gives just a nice beam pattern for work. I just recently got into Armytek, bought 2 of their headlamps and must say I really like them as well. The zebraLights are so compact, but having that magnetic tailcap charging is nice

I got my forst zebra a few months ago. I got the version that runs on a AA battery. Great little light 👍

That cloud defensive is sweet 😍

That's a good idea hockey stick tape on the light for grip, a guy could put skateboard grip tape cut into patches on a light too, how you think the armytek c2 pr nichia stacks up against the zebra light high cri headlamp, i imagine its lighter, not sure about the beams, i like how that armytek diffuses light so well, im so used to a throwy headlamp. Much prefer the zebra to the cloud

I got the same flashlight and agree it’s a nice little 18650 flashlight. I really like how you can adjust the brightness of each level arbitrarily. Not only does this let you dial in the brightness you want, it also lets you change the way you reach high, medium, and low.

Overall I prefer the reverse clicky user interface of Reylight, but it’s not nearly as customizable.

After spending a few weeks with the ZebraLight, I decided to make L1 = L2 and M1 = M2, so double-clicking has no effect unless you’re on high. This results in just 4 brightness levels, but it’s simpler. I really wish there was a way to disable memory so it always starts at L1/M1/H1.

The only other issue I have with the flashlight is that it occasionally freezes up: light is on but button has no effect. A quick twist of the end cap is all it takes to reset it and you’re back in business.
