Oh my...that was nice, great, fantastic, excellent, brilliant, creative, innovative. After performing and listening to music for 54 years now, I have gotten so bored and disappointed in my music and others, but once in a while someone(s) like this group of 4 comes along and just launches my spirit into the stratosphere! Great jazz texture but with a strong melody....beautiful. And harkening back to the old days of rock and roll when the organist was backing up the 6 string electric, but now, in this group, the opposite and the keyboard is in the forefront and the guitarist is backing up the keyboard. I hope this is an original composition, if yes, we have some stellar talent here. And such a powerful melody at the end of this piece with the synth, guitar and bass all making the melody strongest. And then we have the mix and recording with no harshness, a perfect blend of all the instruments making the most pleasant sound I have ever heard before with the four instruments. The drummer was perfect, not over-drumming fills like most jazz drummers would, this subdued technique actually made his drumming more in the front as I would normally try and tune out the over-bearing drums. And what was that crash cymbal..?...never heard anything like that...and what a perfect percussion sound for this group and the song! Then we have the talent of these 4 musicians; complete matured and don't have to prove themselves to be the fastest gun in the west, just ultra mature music for these tired poor ears of mine. What an inspiration to this musician, and what a soothing and exciting emotion from this music. The keyboardist was smiling as much as I was while listening, just can't say enough about this band....WOW!
