Australian Acoustics Observatory Partnership

We're partnering with Queensland University of Technology to support a continent-wide acoustic sensor network.

The Australian Acoustic Observatory, or A20, is made up of 400 acoustic sensors recording continuously. 60 of those sensors have been strategically placed across 16 Bush Heritage reserves.

Data captured will inform us if any species are at risk, helping us understand their populations, habitats and the impacts of climate change. And they'll tell us if our conservation strategies are working.
