For such an upbeat song, the lyrics are actually pretty dark.

A song from the old days, which have long since passed, about the even older days.

Georgy Porgy. - Copacabana (1978)
Let the show commence !!!! ... ‘Lola ‘the Showgirl and her ‘Tony’
Welcoming back to the Latino sound from North of Havana. Hopefully, without ‘Rico’ Mr. Bad Guy.
I enjoyed listening to Mr.
Showman himself alias Barry Manilow.
I admit to being a fan of his.
Perhaps I lost my mind too, just like ‘Lola’ did all those years ago.
Copacabana hasn’t really dated. It’s still a ‘Party Song’ when we can go back to partying 🍸🥃🍷🍇🥥👗🎉🎈🎈🎊
I’m up for a party 🥳!!! ...
Anyone care to join in the fun ... maybe very soon.???
Georgy, thoroughly enjoyed Merangueing around the room on my own.
Lovely 😊
I’ll wait for your next Star ⭐️ turn.

Was never a big Barry Manilow fan, but this song is catchy with fun lyrics. Never liked "Mandy" too soppy. ( No offense to anyone who is a big fan of his stuff)
