The danger of allowing other people to narrate our stories as Africans. Our grandparents' stories never made it to the books that we were given at school during history class. Most of these stories made the invaders heroes or smarter than Africans, the story of Nongqawuse has never been told in full, after her vision most white people died hence she was prisoned. It never made sense to me as to why people who didnt like African would punish Nongqawuse since in a way she assisted them in taking over our land.
