They have become so successful. They even broke into the adult market making larger and more complex sets aimed for adults. They aren’t limiting their audience to just kids which is actually incredibly smart for business.

The fact that Lego's biggest scandal is that the CEO came from McKinsey is kind of refreshing. You know after all the Nazi companies, American death machine manufacturers, and corporations putting hits out on whistleblowers. Like a breath of fresh Danish air.

Reminder that some older LEGO sets actually came without instructions, but did come with a small pamphlet explaining for parents that this was intentional and that the purpose of LEGO was to be creative and have fun.

I used to work at Legoland in Carlsbad CA and honestly it was one of the few corporations I worked for that was really serious about having higher ups be hired from the bottom instead of being a situation you can't move up at all. If you work in the office settings they train you for promotions and also pay fair wages including extra for each adtional language you can speak! Also it was my 1st job that offered medical coverage!
I originally worked as a Ride operator in 1999/2000 and then when I injured my leg in a car accident they asked if I would like to transfer to the office so I wouldn't have to worry how long it took to heal! It was an 8 dollar pay raise too!
