Unlike most hearing aids and current cochlear implant sound processors that are worn on the ear, the Kanso Sound Processor is a small, off-the-ear hearing device that provides a more discreet hearing solution and delivers the same hearing experience as a behind-the-ear sound processor.*

With the Kanso Sound Processor, the processor’s microphones pick up sounds and convert them into digital information that is then transferred to the implant. Digital sound signals travel down the electrode and into the cochlea before they are sent on to the brain.

(I hope you can understand me because English is my second language and I don't speak it well) I am 17 years old and I took Kanso 1 in 5th grade (at the age of 11). And I still have this hearing device. So I've had it as a hearing device for six years. Guys don't get the Kanso 1 because it's a very bad hearing aid. The advantages of Kanso 1 are that you can play football or basketball without problem (you can use Kanso 1 with a hair clip if you want to play comfortably during training, game or life). BUT the disadvantage is that you can't hear well. I mean you can't hear what people are saying to each other. If you go out with a new friend, you will ask him "what, what did you say or didn't I hear can you repeat it" etc etc. You won't listen to your classmates. And because of this you will have no friends. So you will be alone. I don't have any friends. So I haven't found a friend for 2 years. From class 10 till now (class 11). After Middle School and Junior High school ( Grade 1-9 ) I had no friends in Secondary high school (Grade 10- present 11). I was lucky to have friends when I was in Middle School and Junior High School ( Grade 1-9 ), but my luck ran out in Secondary high school (Grade 10- present 11 ). You will have problems with pronunciation, so you will have an accent. I have a close friend and he has Nucleus 7 and speaks like he is from our country. People will ask you every time "where are you from, you don't look like you are from here etc etc which is very annoying for me. I suggest you guys don't buy this. I am warning you because you will suffer a lot just like me. It is better if you get Nucleus 7 or 8. If you don't have money for Nucleus 7 or 8, buy KANSO 2 but DO NOT BUY KANSO 1. You will suffer a lot. Don't buy it. It doesn't matter the comfort or the model, it matters how well it sounds. You can't hear anything with kanzo 1. ( I hope that you understand me because as I said English is my second language ). I am not lying, if you think that I am lying it's your problem.

Can a complete deaf with working auditory nerve can get kanso 2. If yes, how good will it work for them?

I thought it skips the cochlear and goes straight to the brain?
