Makes perfect sense. In TOS, the Enterprise is consistently depicted as being the most powerful ship in the fleet.

Loved this! For me, the sound of the TOS phasers and Torpedoes is just so much better than later ships. Couple that with the classic Star Trek battle music...EXCELLENT!

Pretty well demonstrates why the Constitution Class is a Heavy Cruiser and the Miranda in the era was a Light Cruiser; It generates a lot more power and as a consequence has greater phaser power and stronger shields. The secondary hull allows for a larger warp core. This is not as readily apparent in Star Trek II because of how crippled the Enterprise was, but generally it applied.

Great battle badger! Love to see the Connie kick ass. The Balok puppet scared me as a kid! We need to see more TOS era stuff in the game, including alien ships like the Fesarius where they encountered the puppet.

I like to think that this is what the USS Farragut looked like when Kirk was on it, as we have seen the JJ Farragut, which looks like this but Kelvinified and with 3 nacelles, and the Strange New Worlds version, with curved pylons. If this is the same class as the Prime Farragut, then it makes sense that the Connie would beat it. Also, I really like the blue TMP phasers on the TOS Miranda.
