Most hikers take the trail from Kapesovo across the valley to the steps up to Vradeto, leaving them at the top of the steps with a long hike back to their car. Given the first half of the hike that direction is on a very plain, wide trail without great views, we came up with the idea of starting the hike from the top of the stairs. We'd hike for 40 minutes down, and 40 minutes back up, giving us the same time on the trail, but doubling the experience on the steps themselves...It was fantastic!
