The other thing they forgot to mention is that in the later seasons of the 60's cartoon, the budget was cut. This led to the animators reusing backgrounds and characters from other shows such as Rocket Robin Hood, which led to many awkward and strange scenarios. It is also worth noting that the comics had only been around for a couple years when the series was being produced, and as such there are a bunch of "original" stories that are downright strange as well.

I was actually in the original spiderman thread where the templates were posted. However, it was a thread on /b/, so it might have been posted on /b/ first and then /co/ after the thread died.

I remember the OP said he had marathoned the old series on his pc and screencapped any lulzworthy scenes, then posting them to /b/ to be used however.

I was the guy behind the Spider-man on his day off thread on /co/ and subsequent reaction face threads and encouraged people to make macros off of them. I found the show when I decided to get a DVD of the 67' spiderman toon and took reaction faces from then. It's odd how that made the meme take off, as you would occasionally see other reaction faces pop up every now and then.
