Gov. DeSantis voices support for Constitutional Carry in Florida

Following the signing of new Florida property insurance legislation, DeSantis also said that the legislature would be taking up a bill on the constitutional carry of guns during the normal legislative session.

Seems funny that you have to make a law to allow constitutional carry and even more ridiculous that there are any laws against it. I have always heard the constitution was the law of the land and the laws that all other laws must not violate and yet here we are

You like to refer to us as the "Free State of Florida", yet our gun rights are more restricted than the deep blue states of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Our neighbors, GA and AL can handle freedom...I think we can too!
Do what you need to do to get it UNBLOCKED in the Legislature!
I have spoken personally to my state House Representative and State Senator...and I mean I stopped them in the grocery store aisle and spoke to them personally. They are on board. Let's GO!

This is great, and the benefit is gun carrying criminals will no longer be emboldened to commit more violent crimes as they run a super high risk of being "stopped" permanently. Go Florida.

Permit less concealed carry is not Constitutional carry. When Florida has Constitutional open carry and permit less concealed carry I will believe it. Permit less carry is useless because without a Concealed carry license you cannot carry in other states if you are a non Reciprocating permits will still be a legal issue, so if you travel outside Florida and carry a gun you still need the permit to do so.
